Garden shedsGarden sheds can provide you with additional space, which is a great advantage if you have a small home. However, a garden shed can also be used in ways very different from a typical garden shed and if you require extra space or even an additional room, consider these six uses for a garden shed.

1 –  Office

Working from home can be difficult if your home is noisy and you cannot find a quiet room to complete your tasks. This problem can be solved by creating a home office in the garden so that you can distance yourself away from the distractions of your home and focus solely on work. Simply install your computer, printer, fax and phone and set up a broadband connection to set up a home office as good as any brick office.

2 –  Art Studio

An artist usually requires a calm, peaceful place in which to work. A garden shed in the garden gives an artist just that. By allocating a space devoted to your art, you will have a room that is full of creativity and inspiration. An artist can work on creating beautiful art in their garden completely uninterrupted by their home life.

3 –  Playroom

Children need space to play and allow their imaginations to run wild. It can be difficult for parents to their children’s playthings in small homes and are often forced to keep game consoles in the living area and pile toys in their children’s room. However, a garden shed playroom can be where these are stored, providing your child a safe, contained a place to spend the day. Adding under floor heating or area rugs are necessary additions that will keep your children warm as they play around on the floor.

4 –  Workshop

From woodwork to sculpting, a garden shed workshop will provide you the space to be creative. It will allow you to keep your tools ordered, your projects laid out and, by fitting a strong lock on the door, you can keep your children away from any sharp instruments.
